16 oz sharp cheddar cheese
2 tsp. Ground mustard (from seasonings area of store)
3 tsp. Flour
1/2 stick butter
1 1/2 cup milk
1 tsp salt
elbow noodles (cooked)
For all the chicken pot pie lovers, this is was so yummy.
There was a little prep work, we used the crockpot to pre-cook the chicken and potatoes.
Pre-cooked potatoes (we used the baby skin on potatoes)
Carrots raw chopped up
Cream of Chicken Soup (Large Can)
Pie Shells (homemade or store bought) (I always pre-bake my pie shells for 10 minutes beforehand so the bottoms cook better.)
i filled each pie shell with all the ingredients then baked for 40 minutes or until the top pie shell was cooked. I baked at 385 degrees.
*OPTIONS: Cheese, fresh herbs, chives, onions, fresh garlic, different veggies. No meat, etc.
I decided to try to make my own spaghetti bake (instead of Pie) it was super easy to make and I made it a night ahead so it will be ready for dinner tomorrow so I can rest when I get home from work. I love those nights.
pre-heat oven 380 degrees
5 eggs (pre-mixed with some milk)
cooked sausage (I used turkey)
fresh garlic cloves (3-4)
spaghetti noodles (you can use gluten free too) pre-cook these
(add sliced bell peppers, cut up tomatoes, eggplant, or zoodles, what ever vegetables you prefer) or add more meat. change this to fettuccine sauce and add shrimp. There's so much you can do with this.
i mixed all the ingredients and spread in a baking dish. I did save some parm and mozzarella cheese to sprinkle on top prior to baking.
I baked at 380 degrees for 30 minutes (due to the eggs, I wanted to make sure they cooked through well).
i made 1/5 of the pan with no sauce (for my daughter who doesn't like sauce), so I added the sauce after I put it in the baking dish.
In my frustration to find black bean burgers that didn't have soy, corn, or wheat I decided I had no choice lol but to make my own. It was very easy and I had all of the ingredients already.
1 can rinsed black beans (or made your own)
1 cup cooked Quinoa
1 cup cooked Lentils
(I cooked my lentils and Quinoa together since they both take the same amount of time to cook and cook 1 cup lentils/quinoa to 2 cups water for 20 minutes).
jalapeños, cilantro, garlic, onions, zucchini, kale. Whatever ingredients you like.
Save 1/2 of the lentils, quinoa, and black beans to the side to stir in after you food process everything else together.
I baked them in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes on both sides. I flipped mine over because both sides needed to cook. I used a clay cookie sheet so it doesn't cook as crisp so on a different cookie sheet it may take less cooking time.
this was my first time making chicken pot pie I usually make beef pot pie so I figured this would be just as easy.
I cooked the chicken all day in the crockpot.
I used a store bought pie shell this time.
Potatoes (I pre cooked these)
Cream of chicken soup
Fresh pressed garlic
I always prebake my pie shells for about 15 minutes at 370° to ensure the bottom of the show is done. Then I had all my ingredients.
I cooked I had 380° for about 35 minutes.
*alterations: add some cheese and garlic
Cook 4-5 Chicken Breast/Thighs in the crockpot
Shred Chicken in large mixing bowl
1/2 block cream cheese
6 oz shredded cheese
sliced green onions/chives
2-3 garlic cloves pressed
2 rolls of Croissants
4-5 chicken breasts/thighs
Here is an easy family pleaser, the family loves this one.
I didn't even use soy sauce this time lol. I did use the chicken fried rice seasoning package though. Fresh garlic, short brown rice, and fresh chopped carrots and green beans.
Cooked chicken breast 4-5 (we cooked them in the crockpot all day on low)
2 packets of chicken fried rice seasoning mix
3-4 fresh garlic cloves (pressed)
6 eggs scrambled
Fresh chopped carrots
Fresh chopped green beans (if your family hates peas) lol
I personally love peas.
3-4 cups pre-cooked brown rice
2 tablespoons canola or olive oil
*soy sauce (or the healthy alternative soy sauce)
Pepper to taste
Cool all together in a large stove pan, simmering together for about 20 minutes.
