So, here is my sad Aligner picture above, the day a car or 2 or 3 ran over it in the parking lot of my kids school. I usually put my aligners in my pocket (maybe not the best idea lol), but I do this when I'm driving the kids to school in the morning before driving to work to have my coffee. Then, like clock-work, brushing, flossing, and putting my aligners back in until lunch. I didn't know that day that my pants had a hole in the pocket, lol and of course it was the pocket that I happen to always put my aligners in not the other one. Doesn't it always happen that way. haha Well, I had to laugh at my carelessness, what else could I do. Once I got to work and had my coffee, I reached into my pocket in panic to only find my bottom aligner but the top one was missing, then, feeling the hole in my pocket. So, later when I picked up the kids from school I found my sad squished aligner on the ground in the parking lot all alone. Well, thank God I was going to change my aligners in 2 days, so I went ahead and changed my top aligner 2 days early and kept my bottom one in as scheduled. It seemed to work out ok, praise God, I didn't want to spend money replacing a tray. Lesson learned... check to make sure my pants don't have holes in them before dropping them in (fresh washed of course). Of course the lesson wasn't learned to put my aligners in my trays like I'm supposed to of course.
I've made it this long, I'm determined to stick through this, even though when I recently looked at my teeth they appeared to be looking a little worse and off alignment, maybe they have to get worse to get better as they are moving into place.
My dentist commented that she thought I lost weight, then when I told her about wearing the Invisalign since my last visit she commented that 'yes' she does know people to lose weight with this process. There have been many times I have decided not to deal with the hassle of taking them out to eat an extra snack. But, if your hungry, you do take them out. So, I haven't technically lost any weight from what I have weighed, but, I'm happy to be maintaining.
