The putting on the 'attachments part wasn't too bad. My teeth are still a little sore on one side/sensitive from that day. They had to glue them on, they use the filling stuff they use to fill cavities. I asked how they take these attachments off and they said they have to sand them off. (hmm not sure I look fwd to that) but the finally being done with this process would be great. I can't wait.
The shaving down 5 lower baby teeth (see picture above- lower one), you can see how the bottom front teeth have a little space between them, where on the top picture a month prior they were a little cramped. I actually have 1 baby tooth molar on the bottom that of course they can not move so that's another reason they had to shave down some of these teeth. It was an interesting experience. There were a couple sensitive spots, but for the most part it wasn't that bad and after a day or so, the soreness went away for the most part. I still cant believe I calmly sat there and let someone shave my teeth, well no pain no gain, lol I guess.
So, far the hardest part is the talking. I'm getting better, but me talking is still a bit funny, sometimes it leads to people to asking me to repeat what I said. lol More of it may be in my head as I hear myself, but its still a bit awkward.
Its a huge commitment to do this. I almost wanted to quit and just get clear braces. I still think it may be easier. But, I'm still going. 35 more trays to go.
So I had not posted a picture of me with me with my Invisalign on and with the attachments. So here it is.
The other big issue I have read so many posts on troubles taking out your liners with the attachments.
I have read many that said it's very hard to take them out and I saw the Outie mentioned. I had probably read too much and it made me nervous about it. So, thank God I can say it's really not that bad taking them out and putting them in. It's far easier than I anticipated.
Once you get your own 'way to get them out, it works.
I was advised to take your nail and pull the end of the liners up from the back of the teeth. I found it was easy to pop them out.
I was a little sore after the attachments and shaving were done, but now 2 days later it's better.
So don't order that Outie removal thing until you try on your own, you may be fine without it.
Hope this helps 😃
